The ideal candidate for the Process Engineer role will be results driven, motivated by technical challenges, excellent in communicating, a demonstrated strong problem solver, and analytical driven. This career opportunity will be based out of our Richmond, IN post-consumer PET recycling facility.

The main responsibilities of this position will be to provide day to day technical guidance to plant operations, identify and implement projects for process and quality improvement, conduct capacity debottlenecking studies, material balances, and provide support to Administrative/Process Engineering Manager.

The Process Engineer will report to the Administrative/Process Manager and will work closely with Technical, Business and Engineering personnel to accomplish the aforementioned items. The selected candidate will work on the following tasks:

  • Provide daily technical support to the maintenance and operations groups
  • Provide project management and technical support for capital projects
  • Serve in/or lead teams responsible for long-term process improvement, planning, cost savings, and/or reliability projects
  • Interact with support groups to develop start-up and shutdown procedures; as well as improve current operational procedures & Standard Operating Conditions
  • Participate and lead in design, installation, startup and operation of a variety of chemical process equipment
  • Develop a Process and Product Test Request System
  • Serve as the owner for the performance of critical pieces of equipment, always ensuring quality and productivity
  • Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Chemical Process Engineering required
  • Ability to read, understand, and update P&ID s
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Ability to successfully work independently and/or as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access Database, and Project)
  • Project Management experience a plus
