These words not only form an acronym for C.A.R.E., they are our guiding principles and create the framework for all of our relationships with customers, staff, family members and the community at large.We are currently accepting applications for the following position:Activities AssistantThe Activities Assistant assists the Activities Director with carrying out appropriate resident activity programs, using the philosophy, objectives, and policies of the facility.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:* Carries out activities for residents based on their varied backgrounds, problems, needs, and enjoyment.* Recruits, organizes, trains, and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program while including the largest number of residents possible.* Involves residents families, the community, and volunteers in activities to decrease the loss to the resident in being removed from the community at large* Assists in maintaining all records relating to activities.* Assists in documenting resident's records as required.* Encourages residents to participate in meaningful activities.* Maintains the activities area in a neat and orderly manner.* Participates in committee meetings as directed.* Participates in Resident Council meetings as necessary.* Carries out monthly activity calendar with varied activities.* Assists in developing the facility newsletter, if applicable.* Maintains community involvement.* Understands may be subject to functioning in the role of Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) when the need arises - this requires providing direct care to residents to improve or maintain the resident's abilities according to the resident's plan of care.
